Oklahoma caps the homestead by area rather than by amount. A house of any value within the limit is protected from forced sale for the payment of debts, which means a Brookside house and a north Tulsa house are equally covered.

The Exception Does Vary
Work and material used in constructing improvements is one of the three debts that reaches a homestead, and the size of that obligation tracks the size of the repair.
